The Imperial Eagle, which is 47 meters long, transported passengers from Malta to Gozo from 1958 to 1968. From 1968 on, the boat was used to transport cargo from Gozo to Malta. The boat was then sold to a diving community who lowered the boat in 1999 to serve as a diving attraction for divers.
