The Polynesien

This ship is 152 meters in length and is nicknamed ‘tal Platti’ (Plate Ship) by the Maltese. The Polynesien’s first operation in 1891 was to carry passengers from France to Australia. Her route was changed various times, but while on her way through Europe in August 1918 a Torpedo from the U Boot UC22 struck her and she sank to 60 meters where she lies today.
